From a simple country inn

in the funes valley,
south Tyrol.
Together with his wife Ingrid, Oskar Messner, born in the Funes Valley, has transformed the modest inn on the main road in Pitzack/Pizzago, San Pietro, into an unusual, comfortable and modern restaurant with terrace offering superb food made using local produce mainly sourced from around the Funes Valley Itself. It is a well-known fact that food here is excellent, not just among the locals and tourists, but also the important international gastronomic circles.

The restaurant offers both expertly prepared traditional dishes and always new personal creations. And if one is unable to make a choice among the many delicacies on offer, it is also possible to ask for a selection of small samples of the best ones; Oskar’s motto is:
“Nothing is a problem”
The Pitzock restaurant is furnished in an extremely simple manner, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The brushed larch panels, the Loden fabric covered chairs and the large bay window all contribute to a unique ambiance. The dining room with terrace features very bright colours. The orange and black glass towards the kitchen gives a very modern feel. The huge modern windows offer a panoramic view on the beautiful valley. And our locals really appreciate our bar for their morning coffee or a good glass of evening wine. And while enjoying time here, it is possible to hear people speaking Japanese, Chinese, Russian and English, or even the local Funes dialect.
